Life is Fleeting- Psalm 39

Scripture: Psalm 39

"Indeed, You have made my days as handbreadths, and my age is as nothing before You; certainly every man at his best state is but a vapor. Selah" -Psalm 39:5

David was called a man after God's own heart, and- despite the fact that David sinned greatly in regard to Bathsheba and Uriah the Hittite- God loved him. It just goes to show that God loves us in spite of our dumb mistakes. David spent a lot of time with God as a young shepherd in the hills, as a young man fleeing the wrath of a maniacal and angry king, and finally as king over the united kingdoms of Israel and Judah. After all of the things he'd done in his life, it might have been easy to become prideful and arrogant. David could have strutted about like some puffed up peacock, writing psalms and hymns to his own glory. Instead, he spent time with God, asking for Him to put his life in it's proper perspective. David concluded that our time on Earth is fleeting- a vapor, a shadow, mere inches of space in the infinite reality of the universe. He saw people who toiled diligently day after day to accumulate their wealth, only to die and leave that inheritance to one who would squander it all away. He understood that God was his hope and the One Who would protect him and deliver him.

In our lives, we get so caught up in the busyness of the day-to-day meaningless things. A stoplight can put us in a bad mood for the day. We toil on and on, but what is it all for? King Solomon- David's successor- examined life and concluded time and again in his book of Ecclesiastes that everything is vanity and pointless in life, save for what impact we have on the lives of others. Stop wasting time on meaningless and temporal things that are here today and gone tomorrow. How are you living? To what end? Are you living as an heir to the Kingdom of Heaven, a royal ambassador on a mission, or are you living however you choose, without a thought of the eternal? Ask God to help put life in a proper perspective, knowing that our time here serves a purpose and that our life is not our own. We serve the King of Kings, and our lives best reflect that, as we are most certainly and assuredly held accountable for how we represented Him here on this Earth.

Lord, thank You for choosing me to be Yours. Help me to live my life as an example and as an emissary of You. Remind me daily of exactly Who I am serving and what my purpose here is. Help me to be Your servant in how I live the life You've given me. Amen.

Beca, UR His heart Throb, His Love, you are the WIFE of the Living God, through JESUS CHRIST, our Lord... amen. - I see that you need to ENTER into the REST of the FATHER's LOVE and BE one with Him, as JESUS prayed for you... I also see that the occult has tried to use His Gifts given to you in the past... He is stripping all GATES around you where the Occult has tried to influence you... if you agree... Ask the Holy Spirit, to live, think and SPEAK through you... Galatians 2:20 is available to you, by FAITH in Jesus' Blood... yes Lord... RECKON yourself DEAD to SIN and it's POWER by your FAITH in the power of God and NOT the wisdom of men... you are called to BE a prophetess of the Most High God but first and foremost, to Worship the Father and the LAMB, in that order, in Spirit and in truth... may He anoint your MIND to SEE and be REVEALED the deep truths of the Word of God... you must STAY GROUNDED in the WORD of God, fulling understanding ALL scripture is for TEACHING, DOCTRINE and REPROOF, but with this filter... JESUS fulfilled the LAW of MOSHE and Deut 28 is NOT our portion... JESUS because the CURSE and the Fulfillment of the LAW... Deut 18 and Jeremiah 31:31 describes the NEw Covenant and JESUS had legal right to fulfill the LAW of Moshe so that the NEW COVENANT (the Law of the Anointed One and the Holy Spirit manifested through men) could be established in the earth... one NEW MAN, both JEW and GENTILE, displaying God's untimate purpose... to give the Holy Spirit to human's "that remain" by our faith alone in JESUS, the Christ... He has RESURRECTION power for you as long as you BELIEVE you are a NEW CREATION... the sin nature in your flesh has NO power over you... IF you believe in the Power of the Holy Ghost on you, in you and beside you... blessings... will of YHWH... shalom to all (1 Thess 5:23024)... the EVIL one is very afraid of you when you yield to the Holy Spirit's leading... O' warrior BRIDE of the LORD! - AMEN!

Dear Rebecca,

The Protestant Doctrine of Eternal Security.

A Psychological Trap.

The Protestant doctrine of eternal security is a psychological trap, and one that is all too easy to fall into. By providing a quick, simplistic answer as to how we are saved, and giving the person the comfort of assured eternal salvation, it discourages further inquiry into the fullness of the truth on this most important matter.

This rather fast assurance of salvation helps to make Protestantism very popular. My personal feeling is that many people in the silent or quiet moments of their lives must know in their hearts that this fast, simplistic assurance of eternal salvation is too good to be true (Romans 2:14-16).

The natural law, the law written on our hearts of flesh, is calling us to seek the fullness of the truth in the Church founded by Jesus Christ (Jeremiah 29:11-13) (Deuteronomy 6:4-6).

Playing With Fire.

Many people in following the 16th century reformers are deliberately choosing to reject Catholic Church authority and the channels of grace available to them in the seven (7) Sacraments.

If they knowingly and wilfully did this, on such an important matter, they could find out (perhaps to late) that it will be more difficult for them to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

God will respect their free will and the decisions they made, along with the grace and truth that they have received, and will place them in the proper eternal location or condition.

The more grace and truth that they have received the more that will be expected from them (Luke 7: 47; 12: 48). Perhaps they feel they can live life their way, using their freedom to choose the truth when they want to, or abuse their freedom by choosing to do evil (Contraception, abortion, etc.) when they find it convenient.

You are only free to choose the good. Love God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your spirit, and then do what you will.

Many people joining a "church" (faith communities) for convenience of life style, are "choosing not to know" the fullness of the truth in the Catholic Church.

They hope that they can somehow claim ignorance (or say it was controversial) and therefore escape culpability on their individual day of judgment.

Feigned ignorance will not allow anyone to escape culpability ( proverbs 24: 11-12 ). This is like playing with fire.

They choose not to turn and come closer to the fullness of the truth, which is a person Jesus Christ and who also is one with His Spouse, the Church (Ephesians 5: 32).
